We at 888poker are continually looking for opportunities to collaborate with forward-thinking professionals. In FlowEsports, we see a group of players that is not only professional but also down-to-earth and extremely talented.

It was only a matter of time that a site with over 10 million members and is one of the biggest online poker operators would join forces with Daniel Märkisch’s team - one of the biggest Hearthstone streamers online with over 10,000 weekly viewers.

The Flow Team

The FlowEsports team is made up of Hearthstone pro-players Daniel Märkisch (C4mlann), Tobias Graap (TwoBiers), Vetle Stubberud (Xzirez) and Johannes Steindl (JonnyStoneHS).

Two of the team are professional poker players as well, and one is more of a recreational player. They stream their Hearthstone forays on Twitch every day and feature a poker session, once per week, to get their followers up to speed with the game.

Poker Meets Hearthstone

The game of Hearthstone, which has over 40 million users, and poker are very similar. Players use playing cards to reduce their opponents’ resources down to zero.

In Hearthstone, these resources are referred to as life counters; in poker, the equivalent is chips. Hearthstone streams their games on Twitch, attracting over 1.7m viewers per month.

The four gamers from FlowEsports also broadcast live from the most important events in the industry, such as Gamescom, Dreamhack and Insomnia.

FlowEsports Has Poker Skills

Daniel Märkisch and Johannes Steindl have already shown off their poker chops at the World Series of Poker Circuit Event in Rozvadov, Czech Republic. This international circuit event was a big deal and ran from 27th October through 14th November 2016.

Both Hearthstone champs played in the Main Event, but it was Märkisch who prevailed. He finished in 20th place out of 813 runners and received 9,459 EUR in prize money – along with some well-earned respect from the poker (and gaming) community.

The partnership between FlowEsports and us promises to be a successful one, filled with free tournaments, money-added prize pools and other great prizes.
